Knowledge Engineer



We are looking for a savvy Knowledge Engineer to join our growing R&D team to help us shape and build the next generation of metadata- & AI-driven data integration and analytics products. You will be responsible for developing and utilizing structured knowledge models, expanding and optimizing the ecosystem of our data assets, data collection techniques and smart data tools for cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with our software developers, database architects, data analysts and scientists on diverse data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

  • Develop and evolve rich data and knowledge models, business vocabularies, dictionaries, cross-model mappings and similar metadata resources used for integration, organization and alignment of diverse datasets and software components.
  • Remote job in the international team
  • Design and implement data and knowledge processing solutions: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, developing smart data tools and prototypes for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our core products.
  • Function as a subject matter expert in the context of product components and initiatives involving knowledge engineering techniques and resources. 
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, processing, delivery and analysis of knowledge from a wide variety of structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Collect, assemble and analyze large, complex data sets that meet specific business and technical requirements. 


  • A graduate degree in computer science, software engineering, informatics, information systems or a similar field.
  • Hands-on experience in leading teams and projects
  • Fluent English
  • Previous experience working in a data / knowledge engineering role (especially in the context of NLP/ML and large-scale data integration processes), with some general software engineering experience.
  • Good programming skills in Python (other languages are a plus, e.g.: Java, JavaScript)
  • Working knowledge of different data management systems, data models and query languages (SQL, NoSQL, document stores, graph databases, ElasticSearch, etc.).
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Ability to implement processes and services supporting complex data structures, high-volume datasets, data transformations, metadata management, etc. A successful history of manipulating, processing, integrating and extracting value from large disconnected offline & online datasets.
  • Some familiarity with semantic and graph technologies (knowledge graphs, taxonomies, ontologies, metadata, schemas, SPARQL, RDF, property graphs, TinkerPop Gremlin, Cypher, GraphQL, etc.)
  • Some experience with cloud services (AWS or others) would be a bonus.
  • Enthusiasm for R&D work and ability to contribute to its different stages: research, design, build, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain.
  • Interest in learning new technologies and working independently on new problems in a dynamic environment.
